Northwestern Nigerian Kidnappings:

Recently, about 70+ school children have been kidnapped from their school in the northwestern state of Zamfara in Nigeria. On Wednesday, the police stated that it was the latest mass abduction.
The culprits were said to be armed bandits in a large number. The school invaded was the Government Day Secondary School in the village of Kaya. Police suggested that the abduction accrued at about 11:22 am local time. "The command...has deployed search and rescue team that was mandated to work in synergy with the military to ensure the safe rescue of the abducted students," Zamfara police spokesman Mohammed Shehu said in the statement.
At the same time, this is not the only instance of kidnapping in Northwest Nigeria reports suggest that since December 2020 more than 1,100 pupils have been kidnapped! The kidnapping is suspected to be committed by radical extremists for ransom money.
Rover get's first rock sample from Mars

After a failed attempt last month, NASA's latest Mars rover successfully collected the first rock sample to return to Earth. Adam Stelzner, the chief engineer of the Perseverance rover, called it a perfect core sample.
A month ago, Perseverance drilled a softer rock but the sample broke and did not enter the titanium tube. The rover drove half a mile to a better sampling point and tried again. Team members analyzed the data and images before declaring success.
Perseverance arrived at the Jezero crater on Mars in February. It is believed to be the site of lush lake beds and river deltas billions of years ago.
NASA plans to launch more spacecraft to retrieve samples collected by Perseverance; engineers hope to return as many as three dozen samples in about ten years.
The Past and the Future for Ronaldo

Christiano Ronaldo recently moved back to Manchester United after leaving 12 years back. He first joined United in 2003, after impressing the legendary manager of United, Sir Alex Furguson. He shared a close bond with him, before transferring to Real Madrid for 80 Million Pounds which was a world record at that time. After winning 4 Ballon d’Ors and multiple champions league titles, he moved to Juventus in 2018 until last week. He has signed a 2 year deal with Manchester United, arguably the best club in the history of the Premier League. He will be sporting the iconic Number 7 and partnering up with his fellow Portuguese Bruno Fernandes. Although he may extend his contract with United for a couple more years, this seems to be the last major transfer in Ronaldo's long career.
